The Cocktails

The Candy Cane

1 1/2 oz. Peppermint Schnapps
1 1/2 oz. vanilla-flavored rum
1 1/2 oz. white chocolate liqueur
Ice
Candy canes

Mix the ingredients in a shaker filled with ice. Strain the candy cane cocktail into your chilled martini glass. Hook miniature candy canes on the side of the glass as a garnish.

*Substitute chocolate liqueur for white chocolate liqueur for a bit of variety. Yum!

White Christmas ‘Ritas

14 oz. can of creamy coconut milk
12 oz. of tequila
8 oz. of Triple Sec
Lime juice
Ice
Mint leaves
Lime wedges
Margarita sugar
Cranberries

Prepare your margarita glasses by wiping the sliced lime around the rim and then dipping in the sugar.
Put the ice, tequila, coconut milk, lime juice, and Triple Sec on the blender. Blend this mixture until it’s frozen.
Add the drink to the glass/es and garnish with mint leaves, lime wedges, and cranberries.

Santa Suit Martini

1 oz. vanilla vodka
2 shots of chilled Creme de Cacao
3 TBSP Raspberry liquor
crushed peppermint candies
lime

Chill the martini glass/es.
Placed crushed peppermint candies or candy canes onto a shallow bread plate.
Wipe the rim of the glass/es with the juice of the lime/s. Dip the rim of the glass/es in the crushed candy.
Pour the vodka and the Creme de Cacao into the glass. Drizzle the raspberry liquor on the top of the drink.

Champagne Cocktail

1 bottle of Champagne or sparkling wine, chilled
4 cubes of sugar
Angostura bitters
Lemon twist garnishes

Soak the sugar cubes with the bitters. An easy way to do this is to “top” the bitters bottle with one of the sugar cubes and then invert the bottle so that a few drops of the bitters ends up on the sugar cube.
Drop the sugar cube into your chilled Champagne glass/es or flutes. Top with Champagne or sparkling wine.
Add a lemon twist garnish to the side of the glass/es.
Makes four cocktails.

Fun Fact

Champagne is a special kind of sparkling wine. However, not all sparkling wines can truly be called Champagne. Only the wines that come from France’s Champagne region get this honor. Most Champagnes consist of pinot meunier, chardonnay, and pinot noir.
