The Game: The Knights of Wine and Roses have been the Keepers of the Golden Cork since the dawn of time. But now, the precious mantle of Keeper of the Golden Cork is about to be passed on to the most deserving group. Travel “around the world in eighty wines” as your crack team of international wine experts faces off against other groups in a series of grueling wine tasting, testing, and blending challenges. Meanwhile, you’re also competing in a series of hilarious wine-related team challenges. Every skill is tested along the way to see which team will win the quest for the coveted Golden Cork!
Imagine yourself as a wine trader on the floor of the Wine Exchange in a fast-paced game of high-stakes negotiation. Participants meet, greet and bargain for wine “expertise” about specific types of wine.
Teams assemble a super-group of wine experts - blenders, tasters, creative gurus, and sommeliers with expertise in specific wines – from Chardonnay to Pinot Noir. Let your experts lead the way while competing in a head to head blind taste test. Then create your own Message in a Bottle - blend your own team wine and create a fun, colorful label for your bottle that incorporates what makes your wine (and team) unique. Along the way try your hand at a wild variety of crazy international challenges, from the Australian Corkapult, to building a new Cork de Triumph for your Tour de France.
Does your team feel “trampled” on? Are they feeling “crushed” by workload, deadlines and unrealistic expectations? Raiders of the Lost Cork is your answer! Watch your team go from ‘Good to Grape’, overcome the intimidation of wine, and emerge renewed, re-energized and armed with solid wine knowledge they won’t forget. No wine snobs here, we give you the know-how for your team to become the experts! And you’re not just learning about how different wines taste. In one fun evening, you’re also joining the elite ranks of wine-makers. The Knights of Wine and Roses salute you and your group. Uncork your team’s potential!
